CLIENT BRIEF
Local realtor Tommy Barker requested a logo that was aggressive but stylish at the same time. He also told me an image of a wolf must be present, representing a leader type figure to help clients find their perfect home.
IDEAS & SKETCHES
I like to make sure I draw anything that comes to mind, whether it will work in the end or not. This helps me get past the art block stage and opens my mind to new ideas without any restrictions. I also looked at wolf references to see if I could incorporate them in a creative and professional way.
LOGO CREATION
Once I was settled on a sketch, I needed to find the perfect font in order to bring the logo to life. I found a font called ‘Bravos’ which I felt was perfect for this.
I was drawn particularly to the letters 'B' and 'R' because I felt that it captured an almost wolf like quality.
The wolf silhouette was created as a stand alone emblem as well as to accompany the type face. The wolf was edited and simplified to make it look more aggressive.
Adding the house to the letter 'A' was something I was playing around with in the sketching process and felt it was needed. It adds a certain appeal as well as letting clients know he is a realtor.
The color scheme of red was chosen for it’s eye-catching nature. I also wanted the logo to work on both light and dark backgrounds for maximum legibility.
